Richard Ward joined Tiandi Energy

 
 
   

Richard Ward joined Tiandi on May 1st, 2010 as the President of Tiandi. He held numerous positions within IHS Inc (NYSE: IHS) including Vice President of Innovation and New Ventures. Richard also spent six years as Senior Director of Research with Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), where he specialized in strategic issues concerning oil and gas technology and industry costs. During this time Mr. Ward authored several influential papers including a study on the aging and transition of oil and gas expertise titled "GreY2K: The Big Crew Change and Strategic Options". Additionally, Mr. Ward invented the Upstream Capital Cost Index (UCCI) an industry standard measure of project cost inflation. Previous to CERA, Mr. Ward has held positions with Maurer Engineering, Halliburton, Landmark Graphics, Munro Garrett and Schlumberger. Mr. Ward is a graduate of Rice University and is an Adjunct Professor of Business at the Jones School of Management, Rice University.

 
 
 
 

Dongsheng Yang joined Tiandi Energy

 
 
   

Dongsheng Yang joined Tiandi on May 1st, 2010 as the OD of Tiandi. He received his geophysics BA in University of Petroleum in Dongying of Shandong Province and software engineering MS in University of BUPT, he also received Richard Tyler program certificate in Houston University in 2008. Dongsheng Yang has more than 13 years working experiences in petroleum industry, he worked as geophysicist in Geology research Institute of JiangSu oilfield of SINOPEC since 1996. In 2002, Dongsheng joined Beijing Longoil Company acting a manager of software development Department which provided GIS oriented application solution for E&P data management in oilfield. Two years later he was involved in E&P data integration and management research and development for General New Technology Company registered in Houston. In 2005 he changed his career and started client technical supporting roles in IHS which is a leading global provider of critical information and insight., after one year he was promoted as regional manager of Client Support Group within IHS, in 2007 he has additional roles as senior account manager covering CNPC and CNOOC territory.

 
 
 
 

Tiandi Energy signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Foreign Investment Administration, Ministry of Commerce

 
 
   

On Sep. 9th, 2009, Mr. Bob Lockwood, the CEO of Tiandi Energy, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mr. Li Zhiqun, the General Director of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration, Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China in Xiamen.

This MOU is to promote development of the service outsourcing industry in China which is named the "Thousand-Hundred-Ten Project". This Project is to build 10 service outsourcing base cities which have certain competitive strength; promote the transfer of service outsourcing business of 100 world-famous multinational companies to China and establish 1000 large/middle scale service outsourcing enterprises with international qualities. Tiandi Energy is honored to be one of the service outsourcing enterprises and is willing to work closely with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce to honor its long-time commitments to helping China accelerate the construction of an information society and to promoting China¡¯s economic growth.

Mark Amelang joined Tiandi on August 1st, 09 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Tiandi. He has been in the Upstream Exploration segment of the Oil & Gas/Energy industry for 18 years with extensive experience in both offshore and onshore (land) based technologies. Mark specializes in sales, marketing and business development. He has a track record of successful engagements at both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups as well as companies in between. We think Mark¡¯s join will enhance sales, marketing and business development for Tiandi greatly.
